1.   LOWRY COLE was wounded northwest of Fromelles, Aubers Ridge, on 9th May1915.

2.   LLOYD is believed to be buried in the Lala Baba Cemetery but his actual grave could not be identified.

3.   DAVIES was killed, according to a report in the Liverpool Echo, whilst escorting a General on a reconnaissance mission.  His death is reported in the 113rd Brigade War Diary.

4.   VERNON was killed with his pilot, 2Lt G B Firbank, when their aircraft, a FE2b, was brought down and crashed.

5.   REES was killed with his pilot, 2Lt L B T Morris, when their FE2b was brought down and crashed.

6.   JENKINS was killed during a training flight when his aircraft an Avro 504A , lost speed in a turn and nose dived into the ground.

7.   WATSON, with his pilot, 2Lt D Taylor, were killed when their aircraft, an MF S11 Shorthorn, side-slipped into a nose dive to the ground.

8.   DUNN was commanding a Reserve Brigade whilst serving in the Reserve of Officers.

9.   EVANS was wounded near "Irma Post" Fauquissart on 17th January 1917 and taken by the Germans.   He was originally buried in Fournes German Cemetery and reburied in Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery in August 1923.

10.  BRADLEY had previously been attached to 1/4th Battalion London Regiment and further detached to 168th Trench Mortar Battery.

11.  WILLIAMS died of ? (WO 339/60563) in what is now Ghana.

12.  EVERINGHAM was the observer in FE2 serial A2815 when he and his pilot, 2Lt K MacKenzie were shot down in aerial action.   He was originally buried in a battlefield grave near Vimy and reburied in Bois Carre Cemetery in June 1919.

13.  THOMAS was originally buried in a battlefield grave to the north of St Laurent-Blangy and reburied at Roclincourt Valley Cemetery in October 1919.

14.  MORRIS was an observer in an RE8 piloted by Capt G Hodgson on a recce mission when the aircraft was brought down by enemy aircraft.

15.  BEYNON was wounded east of Monchy le Preux on 23rd April 1917.

16.  ANTHONY was shot down on 25th May 1917 by Lt Strahle of Jasta 18 and was seriously wounded.   He was taken to a German Field Hospital near Bousbecque and died later that evening and buried.   He was reburied at Mendinghem Cemetery in 1923.

17.  JONES was wounded during a trench raid near the Ypres Canal, east of St Eloi, on 7th June 1917.

18.  BEAN and his co-pilot, 2Lt E T Phillip, were killed when their aircraft an RE8, on a reconnaissance mission, was brought down near Nachtegaal northeast of the Houlthulst Forest.   They were originally buried in Nachtegaal German Military Cemetery and reburied in Strand Military Cemetery in August 1930.

19.  TARDUGNO was killed when his aircraft, a DH4, crashed to the ground during a training flight.

20.  JAMES was on a solo training flight when his aircraft, a BE2c, was flying low when caught by the wind resulting in it crashing to the ground.

21.  HARRIS was killed somewhere over France when his aircraft, an RE8, was brought down in an unknown location and declared "missing".

22.  WILLIAMS, solo pilot of a DH5, serial A9398 was shot down in aerial combat over the Houlthulst/Poelcapelle area by Lnt Julius Schmidt of Jasta 3.

23.  PHILLIPS was originally buried in a battlefield grave to the southwest of Langemarck and reburied in Artillery Wood Cemetery in September 1919.

24.  WILLIAMS was solo pilot in a DH4 and wounded in aerial action near Bethune.

25.  HODKINSON was an observer in an RE8 on an artillery recce patrol when it was brought down by anti-aircraft fire.   The pilot, 2Lt H W Westaway was wounded.

26.  SUTCLIFFE and his pilot, 2Lt J M McKenna, were killed when their aircraft, an FE2b fighter, was brought down in aerial combat.   He was originally buried in the Bouchain German Cemetery and reburied in Cabaret Rouge Cemetery in January 1924. 

27.  MORSE was accidentally killed by an explosion on the ground at his aerodrome.

28.  RAYNOR was gassed near Bullecourt on 5th November 1917 and subsequently died of gas poisoning at 142 Field Ambulance RAMC based at Favreuil, northeast of Bapaume.

29.  CAYLEY died of ?   (WO 374/12968)

30.  JONES died of lung congestion.  Details of previous service and service in the General List are being researched.

31.  MORRIS was an observer in a DH4 and was shot in the head by ground forces during a bombing mission.

32.  TREGARTHEN was piloting his aircraft, an RE8 serial D4972, when it failed to recover a flying position after spinning out of control.

33.  WOLFF was originally buried in a battlefield grave southwest of Beugny and reburied at Red Cross Corner in October 1920.

34.  BECKTON was killed when his aircraft, an Avro 504, crashed to the ground during pilot training.

35.  BARNETT-BARKER was originally buried in Albert Communal Cemetery but the grave was later lost due to shellfire.   He is commemorated on a Special Memorial". 

36.  RAMSAY was killed when his aircraft, an RE8, piloted by 2Lt R D Turnell, crashed to the ground by accident.

37.  WILLIAMS was wounded near the St Quentin Canal on ?

38.  BARTLETT was wounded and taken by the Germans most probably on 9th April 1918 and died in German hands on 12th April 1918.   He was originally buried to the south of Laventie and reburied in RIR Graveyard in after the Armistice.

39.  EVANS was killed along with his co-pilot, Lt F G Lewtas, when their aircraft, an Avro 504, stalled whilst turning after an engine failure and crashed on a river bank near Gainsborough.

40.  ELLIS was originally buried in a battlefield grave northwest of Thiepval and reburied in Connaught Cemetery in October 1919.

41.  WILLIAMS and his observer, 2Lt E Dunville, were in aerial combat over Lille in a Bristol 2b fighter when shot down.   He was originally buried in Thumeries German Cemetery and reburied in Cabaret Rouge Cemetery in September 1922.

42.  THOMPSON was wounded northwest of Fontaine-Croisilles on 25th August 1918.

43.  ARNOLD's aircraft, Avro 504 was involved in a mid-air collision with Lt G F Woollard's Avro 504 whilst formation flying over the Tadcaster aerodrome.   Both pilots were killed.

44.  HUGHES was wounded northwest of Grand Couronne on 25th September 1918.

45.  GRIFFITHS was wounded at the River Piave on 21st October 1918.

46.  MORGAN was an observer in a DH4 on a bombing mission when he was shot through the head by enemy ground action.

47.  EVANS was serving with 100th Sqn RAF, part of the RAF Independent Force, as a pilot when his aircraft, a Handley Page 0/400 heavy bomber, crashed on landing at Longres.   Evans was killed and two other crew members were injured.

48.  EDRIDGE-GREEN was an airship pilot attached to the Capel Airship Station, Folkestone.   He died of natural causes.

49.  RUSSELL was flying a Dolphin, serial C4011, at Hooton Park Aerodrome when the aircraft went into a spin and crashed to the ground.

50.  MANDERS died of influenza/pneumonia.

51.  JONES died of influenza/pneumonia.

52.  AUBERIN died of influenza/pneumonia.

53.  CROSLAND died of illness at sea on board SS ?  of the coast of east Africa. (WO 339/61748).

54.  COVENTRY-DAVIES died of ?   He was appointed to the General List (RTO) in June 1919.   He had previously served in the South African Horse during the Boer War and had been appointed as Captain in the 11th Bn RWF on 15th September 1914.

55.  BATTERSBY died of pneumonia.   He had previously served with 2/6th Battalion RWF and was seconded to the Labour Corps in May 1917.

56.  EVANS died of ?   He may well have been seconded to the Labour Corps at the time of his death.

57.  COMPTON-SMITH was kidnapped by the IRA on 16th April 1921 at Blarney Railway Station and was murdered by them on 30th April 1921.   His body was discovered 5 years later and is buried in Fort Carlisle Military Cemetery.
