1.     Those numbers marked with a "p" in the Notes column refers to the page in "The History of the South Wales Borderers 1914 - 1918" by C T Atkinson where the death of the officer is mentioned or indicated.

2.     TRAVERS was wounded at Port Arthur, Richebourg L'Avoue on 28th March and died the same day.

3.     GRAHAM was wounded at Gheluvelt on 31st October 1914.

4.     SALT was wounded at Neuve Chapelle on 15th March, serving as a Private soldier with 3rd Bn Monmouth Regt, awaiting return to UK for commission with 11th Battalion SWB.  Gazetted 9th March 1915 (Third Supplement to LG 29130) dated 14th April 1915.

5.     MACGREGOR may well have been killed on 2nd May 1915.

6.     HEAL was wounded at Gully Ravine, Gallipoli on 8th May.

7.     TURNER was wounded at Richebourg L'Avoue on 9th May.

8.     STANBOROUGH was wounded at Gully Ravine, Gallipoli on 8th May.

9.     DARBY died of illness in the UK prior to the 10th Battalion proceeding overseas for active service.

10.   JORDAN was wounded at "Turkey Trench", near Gully Ravine, Gallipoli on 19th June.

11.   INGLIS was wounded at Gully Ravine, Gallipoli on 15th June.

12.   BRADLY was wounded at "Turkey Trench", near Gully Ravine, Gallipoli on 28th June.

13.   LE THICKE was killed in a motor cycle accident at Hounslow on 23rd July.

14.   HILLMAN-MILLER was wounded at Damakjelik Bair, Salonika on 9th August.

15.   LEWIS C N died of illness at Weymouth on 18th August whilst attending the Army Signalling School at Blandford.

16.   LEWIS T E was wounded in the Festubert area in a training accident with bombs on 28th August.

17.   WILLIAMS was wounded near Cambrin on 10th September.

18.   HALL was wounded at "The Horseshoe" east of Chocolate Hill, Gallipoli on 18th September.

19.   PLAYFORD was killed leading a patrol during the evening of 25th September according to the book  "The History of the South Wales Borderers", on page 148.

20.   FORSTER-MORRIS was wounded at Hulloch on 26th September.
