Notes:

1.     THOMAS served with 2nd Battalion and was wounded near Monchy le Preux, Arras, on 23rd April 1917.

2.     JONES served with 4th Battalion in Mesopotamia and was wounded in that theatre.

3.     DAVIES served with 11th Battalion which was disbanded in France on 27th February 1918.   He had also served with the Middlesex Regiment.

4.     BIGGERTON-EVANS was serving with the HQ of The Army of Occupation in Bulgaria post Armistice.

5.     BROWN served with 12th Battalion which was disbanded in France on 10th February 1918.

6.     RICHARDS died of illness after retirement from the Army on health grounds.   Grateful thanks to Mr Glenn Horridge of Westminster School who provided this information.

7.     LIGHTFOOT served with 8th Battalion at Salonica.   It was not until February 2015 that he was accepted for commemoration by the MoD/CWGC.

8.     BARRY was accidentally shot at Cork on 8th April 1921.

9.     None of these officers appear in the Roll of Honour published in "The History of the South Wales Borderers" by C T Atkinson.

10.   The NA List (Non-Active List) refers to the group of officers who retired during or after the Great War because of temporary or permanent unfitness for any service due to medical or other reasons.
