Notes: 1. HICKLING was wounded at Langemarck on 24th October 1914 during the First Battle of Ypres. 2. STEPHENSON was wounded at Gallipoli on 6th March 1915 and died aboard the hospital ship SS Sicilia. 3. SOLOMON was wounded at Suvla, Gallipoli on 22nd August 1915. 4. STAGG was wounded at Mametz Wood on 10th July 1916. 6. WALSH was wounded at Mametz Wood on 10th July 1916. 6. JOHNSON was wounded at Ovillers on 14th July 1916. 7. LAYNG was mortally wounded by a shell at Bazentin-le-Petit whilst leaving RHQ 10th Bn Glos Regt. 8. KILBY was wounded at Thiepval on 17th August 1916. 9. RICHARDS was wounded near Morval on 25th September 1916. 10. HARRYMAN was wounded in aerial action over Neuville Vitasse, south east of Arras on 18th March 1917. 11. RYDER was wounded in aerial action over the Ypres area on 26th June 1917 12. DAY was wounded in aerial action over the Arras area on 7th August 1917. 13. BADCOCK'S parent unit was 2/5th Bn Glos Regt. 14. DAINTON was wounded at Hangard Wood, south east of Amiens 15. HEPPENSTALL's body was lost on the battlefield until it was discovered in July 1955 and buried at London Cemetery, Longueval 16. ANDREWS was killed in action on 11th August 1918 near Damery during the Battle of Amiens. He should have therefore been commemorated on the Vis-En-Artois Memorial. 17. LOOK was wounded near Gezaincourt on 31st August 1918. 18. SAGE was wounded west of Cambrai on 12th September 1918. 18. HYMAN died of influenza/pneumonia at a Casualty Clearing Station at Roisel. |
